Perth-based startup Formalytics developed myKicks, a football (soccer) performance analysis mobile app that films kicks and calculates ball speed and trajectory to help users become better players.
Six months into its existence, Formalytics was met with a dilemma in the app. They needed to add iOS developers that are adept in Swift to their full-time team of five, but finding them in Australia wasn’t as easy as they’d expect.
They knew they needed to outsource some of myKicks development to get things done.
As Formalytics wanted to kick off the first version of the app fast, they had a hands-on approach to the project which depended on communications between their team and our iOS developers.
Formalytics interviewed five of our iOS specialists before moving forward with two experts they believed would best fit their team, and they immediately set the ball rolling. To maintain high coding standards, frequent code reviews were observed. The developers worked closely with Formalytics CTO Andrew Ellerton, allowing for constant exchanges on myKicks app development.
The two-month trial period ended with Formalytics officially working with Arcanys developers who helped maintain and improve the app by:
