This is a story about two Australian startups that built their Arcanys development teams simultaneously and reached inevitable success.

The Clients

Register Now is a cloud-based software that provides registration form management for sports events, training and educational courses, club memberships, conferences, and more.

Thanks to its easy-to-use systems and competitive pricing, it is trusted by over a thousand clients in Australia and New Zealand, as well as Canada and the UK Registration Logic, with more than half-a-million registrations per year.

Another brainchild of Register Now founders is Payment Logic. It is an online platform that allows Australia-based businesses to pay their contractors, suppliers, and rent using their credit cards. Users benefit from the service with optimized cash flow, reward points from their credit card issuers, and a fast, 48-hour payee account credit.

The Dilemma

Business was growing at a promising rate for Register Now. The demand for a smoother, more functional user interface became imperative as its client base began to inflate. Payment Logic, on the other hand, was yet to draw enough funds after its take-off to afford new additions to the team.

What both startups needed was clear: to ramp up each tech team with competent talents without paying through the nose. But what wasn’t obvious to them was where and how to find them.

That’s when we stepped in.

The Arcanys Solution

Eager to explore cost-efficient strategies, the company founders heard about Arcanys. And because they were new to outsourcing, we offered them a two-week risk-free trial on a proof of concept (POC) for Register Now.

It was the start of a would-be successful partnership.

Register Now prepared a detailed scope of work and timeline for two Arcanys .NET developers, interviewed and handpicked by CTO Mark Nimco. After thoroughly reviewing the output, he was impressed by the accomplishment, and the co-founders decided to acquire not only two members for Register Now as originally planned, but also two new developers for Payment Logic.

Both companies added the right people to their armada and, as CTO Mark puts it, “have been able to significantly grow [their] company for a fraction of the cost of hiring local employees” in Australia. They are saving at least AUD 100,000 with each developer and twice the delivery time.
